Our Annual Meeting Will Be Held On Tuesday, September 17th at Le Malt Imperiale (75 Putnam Street). Please register using the form below.  We will recap what the BID has achieved this past year, as well as discuss plans for the future.  We will also be voting on our newest Slate for our Board of Directors.  All BID businesses and property owners are invited to join us at this meeting.  Complimentary food and beverages will be provided.

The Mission of the South Shore Business Improvement District is to make the towns of Annadale, Eltingville and Great Kills safer, more beautiful and ultimately a better place to work, shop and live.

Private Sanitation

We've added more than 20 additional trash receptacles to our District and have enlisted private sanitation services to service them. The same team also cleans each town three times a week.

Beautifcation & Maintenance

Weed removal, tree bed maintenance, sidewalk cleaning and installations of trees and flowers in each town in addition to each of the town's train stations..

Safety

The BID has installed a private intranet of cameras within the District and works hand in hand with police and other agencies to provide them with surveillance footage when neccessary.

Events

The BID produces events such as The Annadale Tree Lighting, Family Fun Days, Drive In Movie Nights, and our signature Taste of the Towns Restaurant Crawl and Trolley ride.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The BID is funded through an assessment formula which was created and voted upon by its members.  The assessment is collected by the Department of Finance and given to the BID so it may fund the programs and services its needs.

You cannot ‘become a member” of the BID.  You are either a member or not by virtue of whether or not your business is listed on our District Map.

The South Shore BID is a recognized 501c3 nonprofit organization. 

The BID is overseen by a Board of Directors comrpised of stakeholders in each town.  The Board operates with guidance from the organization’s Executive Director.

There are currently 76 BID’s in New York City, 3 of which are on Staten Island.

The South Shore BID was signed into law on May 18th 2015.

While the BID services the towns and Annadale, Eltingville and Great Kills, its members are based on and its services provide to only those who fall within the District Plan created in 2015.
